Deleting your account

Email support@raceapi.com from the email address on your RunSignup account, with "Delete my account" as the subject.

You will get a confirmation once it is done. Requests are completed within 30 days and usually much sooner.

Why by email rather than a button: RaceSync has no password of its own — you sign in through RunSignup — so the way we can tell a request really comes from the account holder is that it arrives from the address on the account. A self-serve control inside the app is being built; until it exists, this is the route, and it is a real one.

• Your RaceSync profile: the RunSignup user ID, email address, and display name.
• Every race registration RaceSync has copied from RunSignup.
• The access and refresh tokens for any calendar you connected.
• The record of which calendar and which events RaceSync created.

These are removed together. Nothing tied to your account outlives the account record.

• Events already on your own calendar. They belong to your Google or Microsoft account, not to us. Delete the calendar named Races from Google Calendar or Outlook directly and they go with it.
• Your RunSignup account and your actual race registrations. RaceSync only ever read those; it cannot change or remove anything at RunSignup.

You do not have to delete your account to stop RaceSync writing to your calendar. Disconnect the calendar in the app: that deletes the stored tokens for it and stops any further updates, while leaving your account in place.
